The editor of Midwest Living Magazine recently featured the Lodge at Deadwood in a very positive light. We were incredibly excited and honored, and wanted to share their kind words with you:

South Dakota's Black Hills region has its first new resort in years, and it's beautiful, whether you're into gaming or not.
The impressive Lodge at Deadwood (opened in winter 2010) is an upscale, destination resort. The lodge takes advantage of the view from its location on the shoulder of Mount Roosevelt: most of the 140 luxurious rooms and suites have balconies for enjoying the fantastic view. The lodge contains Deadwood's first full-scale convention center and the area's first indoor water park (pool, pirate ship, hot tub, and more). Other amenities include a big casino with poker, blackjack, and slot machines; restaurant; sports bar; and fitness rooms. If you're more for the outdoors, you can practically start hiking from the front door. It's also just a short drive from ski areas and Black Hills snowmobile trails. Right across the road is "Tatanka, Story of the Bison", an incredible bronze sculpture commissioned by Kevin Costner that depicts a larger-than-life herd of 14 bison being driven over a cliff by three Lakota hunters on horseback. Some of the bison appear to be suspended in midair. Tatanka also has an interpretive center, gift shop, and snack bar. From $152.
